I want to welcome you to Snaps personal blog. You may have seen Snap on Instagram, I created Instagram around 3 months ago which gained over 5k followers. I wanted to create a blog so I can share Snap’s adventures in more detail and also create some reviews on the products we use for Snap. We will only review items which we actually use, the reviews will be completely ours and will not be altered for the brand in any way.
About Snap
So, Snap is an F2 Goldendoodle born on the 11/11/2017. He came from Clitheroe in Lancashire and is part of a litter of 6. In the litter, there was 3 girls and 3 boys, the girls were snapped up pretty quickly, we are super happy we got Snap as he is full of character, energy and is now a major part of our family. The owners of the mother are actually close friends of ours, therefore Snap is lucky enough to stay in contact with his mother Milly and big sister Ella.
Milly is an F1 Goldendoodle and was bred with another F1 Goldendoodle in Newport, Wales. Dad was a lot bigger then Milly, and a lot more curly, it seems as though Snap has got his Dads size but thankfully his mother’s coat.
Why a Blog?
I have been wanting to create a blog for some time, but have been a little anxious to do so as I wasn’t too sure whether it would be worth it, and I don’t have that much time on my hands. However, we were invited to attended DogFest 2018 in Cheshire and realised so many people knew who Snap was. I didn’t realise how far Snaps profile has reached. We also met other famous Instagram dogs one of which is called Polly, her owners told me that I should start a blog for Snap which was another thing that pushed me to create this.
At DogFest 2018, we were invited to be part of the Hound Hangout team where we were asked to be at ‘Noels Ark’ for a certain time for a meet and greet with people who follow Snap on Instagram. It was lovely meeting everyone there, all the brands and people who gave Snap loads of cuddles. We are looking forward to doing it again!
Another reason why I wanted to create a blog for Snap was that I have so many photos which I want to share. Having just an Instagram account wasn’t enough to share them all, so I am hoping to be able to share lots through my posts.
About Me
My name is Mark Nicholls, I am 26 years old from Oswestry, Shropshire which is located on the Welsh border. It is a small town between Wrexham and Shrewsbury. I graduated in 2018 with a degree of BSc Hons Computer Systems Forensics and Security. I have also been a strong lover of computer systems and how they work, especially when it comes to computer networks and computer security.
In regards to photography, I am not a photographer, it’s just a hobby I would love to get into it more, therefore Snap is my first project.
The camera I use to take the shots of Snap is a mixture between my iPhone 7 Plus which is mainly for my Instagram story. However, I also use a Nikon D80 which was given to me by my dad who also has a passion for photography. I use two lenses, Nikon AF-S 18-135mm and also a Nikon AF-S 55-200mm. All photos are taken RAW and are passed through Adobe Photoshop CC to correct the tone, contrast etc and to add the SnapTheDoodle watermark.
Reviews
The other reason why I wanted to create this blog was to collaborate with my favourite dog brands. Before you part with your money, I want to make sure you know what you are getting for your money. I will be doing this completely free as it’ll be just for fun but I will try to make it as professional as possible with fantastic shots of your items with Snap. We will also promote your products on Instagram.
